Strength in an organization is a function of leadership capacity.
In effective enterprises leadership is demonstrated by everyone
within their own sphere. The driver, the mechanic and the person
who fills the gas tank can all contribute to fleet efficiencies
Apt Solutions is founded on the dual premises that:
 |
Strong people forge strong futures.
|
 |
Strong people are hindered by weak systems for planning,
communicating and evaluating.

Lewis MacKay
An early career move from finance to pharmaceuticals set Lewis's course
in sales and marketing. Filling senior positions, he developed a breadth
of experience in marketing, training and planning. In founding APT Training
Associates and Apt Solutions, Lewis found an outlet for his passion to
help people and organizations perform to their potential. His quiet energy
and belief in the possible has helped many people set and reach goals.
He pushes us to keep a vision in mind and answer the 'so whats.'

Jane MacKay
Assignments to train workers in Jane's first real job after university
sent her back to school for some specialisation in the field of educational
design and facilitation. This has been followed by a wealth of opportunity
over the years to facilitate needs assessment, learning and planning with
organizations from banks to farmers markets. Jane is a visual thinker
and finds it helps people expand their thinking if they come at problems
from a fresh approach. She challenges us to risk to do things a little
differently.

Ray Docker
A successful career in educational leadership included principal of two
high schools and senior administrative positions in three school systems.
Ray is renowned for his capacity to focus on client needs. We especially
like his candour and ability to bring us back to ' .... how is it we help
clients'. He has varied experience in accomplishing change in an institutional
setting, program design, strategic planning and accountability issues
in public sector organizations.

Laurie Webber
Crossing the boundaries of non-profit, government and the private sector
Laurie developed not-for-profit ventures with success rates far exceeding
comparative programs. The pull of his entrepreneurial roots eventually
lured him to creating businesses in wholesaling, property management,
retail and construction. Laurie reminds us that it is really worth having
fun at what you do.

Jan Wallace
An artist's eye and training in business writing and teaching is a powerful
combination for communicating. Jan taught business correspondence and
business education programs before starting her own business. Jan knows
what good organization takes and how to implement it. Her 'what is it
you are trying to say .. ?' questions usually bring us back in focus.

Jessie Mitchell
A career getting a family of four off to a strong start after university
gave Jessie the skills to keep us sane in what sometimes seems to be chaos.
As our face and voice on the world, we value her good humour, common sense
and ability to communicate with all who come through the door (Sometimes
three at a time).
